About Chattanooga's Children Clinic

We're Here For Your Children

Chattanooga Children’s Clinic is a primary care pediatric clinic with three locations at Spring Creek Road in Brainerd, Black Street in Northshore, and on Jordan Drive in Hamilton Place. Operated by Dr. Zara Memon and Dr. Umbar Shah since its opening in the summer of 2013, Chattanooga Children’s Clinic continues to serve the greater Chattanooga community today. 


Chattanooga Children’s Clinic accepts all major insurances including Tennessee and Georgia Medicaid. Walk-ins are welcome. Our doctors are also on staff at Parkridge East, Erlanger Women’s East and T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospitals.


Dr. Shah and Dr. Memon are now accepting new patients. They see patients from birth through the child’s 21st year.

Dr. Memon is a board certified pediatrician who has been practicing general pediatrics since 2003.


She graduated from the Aga Khan University Medical School in 1998 and completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ. She then practiced pediatrics on the west coast with Group Health while living near Seattle, Washington.


She moved to Chattanooga in 2006 with her family and has been serving the community since. She is a proud mother of three beautiful children, one born in each state she’s lived in. 

Umbar Shah

Dr. Shah is a board certified pediatrician who has been practicing general pediatrics since 2002.


She graduated from the Aga Khan University Medical School in 1996 and completed her pediatric residency training at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY.


Upon finishing training, she moved back to Pakistan and practiced there for four years.


She moved to Chattanooga with her family and has been serving the community here since 2010. She is a dedicated mother to three lovely girls and two puppies.

Kristen Harris

FNP-BC


Kristen Harris is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Originally from Morristown, TN, Kristen earned her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Nursing from Carson-Newman University.


Kristen began her career as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical unit at East TN Children's Hospital in Knoxville, TN in 2010. Since graduating with her masters in 2013 she has been practicing as a nurse practitioner in pediatric primary care.


She moved to Chattanooga in 2015 with her husband. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.

Brett Cagle

Nurse Practitioner


Brett Cagle is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Brett is born and raised in the Chattanooga area. He earned his Bachelors (2014) and Masters (2018) of Science degrees in Nursing from Tennessee Technological University.


Brett has worked at Erlanger Children’s Hospital as a nurse in the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units as well as with the pediatric Oncology population. As a Nurse Practitioner, he has worked in pediatric primary care and family practice settings since 2018.


Brett enjoys spending his free time with his family going on walks in Coolidge Park. If he’s not there, he’s probably watching University of Tennessee sports or the Atlanta Braves.

Jenae Hennessey

FNP-BC


Jenae is from Salinas, California. She has undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Nursing. Her bedside nursing experience was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Erlanger from 2013 until she completed her Masters Degree in Nursing from Southern Adventist University in 2020. She has worked in pediatric primary care since. 


Jenae and her husband have lived in Cleveland, TN since 2013. They have 3 children, and they love to travel as a family.
